I use my art to make sense of every day life and the emotions that it entails. I work obsessively, and often on the same themes over and over again, for months, even years, at a time. And then suddenly for no reason will move onto something else.

My work at the moment involves storytelling. These can be in one single image or various images that make a story. These stories have a child like quality, but also have an underlying darkness that introduces a sense of unease. The female figure is always predominant in these images.

I am very much interested by the drawn line, and will always start an image in this way. I will then often mix old and new techniques, using computers, ink jet printers, photocopiers, hand cut paper, Japanese book binding techniques and collage.
