David is an original, quirky and refreshing illustrator, whose work provides personal pleasure for the artist and for those who literally stumble across his work! He illustrates onto whichever flat space entices him and his house has become his canvas. Found objects including plastic bags, tissue paper, bath mats, chess boards, flattened boxes and even tea bag envelopes have been adopted in his art! David fits his illustrations into the confines of these objects, and uses ball point and felt tips as his medium. His chess board now displays illustrations of animals from the natural world within each white square, and a flat pack card which once held socks now displays a variety of thematic illustrations negotiated within the flaps of such.
