Exhibition opportunity - call for entry
myscape – a journey into the autistic architectural landscape
Artists with autism will
often use their individualised way of looking at their environment as the
inspiration for their work. Often professional and self-taught artists with
autism can produce work that is original and innovative and challenges traditional
artistic conventions. It can be fantastically detailed reflecting the artists’
ability to focus and absorb detail, or it can be simple and concise, sparsely
communicating the artists’ representations of their images.
The exhibition will be shown in Project Ability’s gallery at Trongate
103 and Collins Gallery at Strathclyde University. This will give us a combined
hanging space of more than 120 metres. These two leading galleries are within
five minutes walk of each other.
